January 13th - Full Moon.

January 16 - Opposition of Mars .

January and February are the best months to observe Mars. In January the second session of the night is the best for observing Mars.

The best star-forming nebula, the Great Orion Nebula, a cradle of stars 1500 light years away, is visible during both sessions, the second session offers the best observation conditions.

The supernova remnant, the Crab Nebula, is visible.
